Ahsanullah Swati, Pakistani national, graduated from International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan with a B.A., LL.B (HONS) Sharia’h & Law in 2008 and obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking & Finance in 2009. He received an LL.M (International Business Law) from VU University Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 2010. Ahsanullah Swati joined Meyer-Reumann & Partners in April 2011.

Background
Ahsanullah Swati is a lawyer/advocate before all high courts of Pakistan and worked as an Associate with a local law firm in Islamabad, where he was pleading civil & criminal litigations before Islamabad District and High Court (2008-2009). He also worked as Consultant with a major Takaful/insurance company, where he advised on legal & Shariah compliance and insurance contracts. Prior to joining Meyer-Reumann & Partners, Ahsanullah Swati worked with two major international firms in Frankfurt, Germany (2010-2011). He passed the Punjab Bar Council exam in 2008 and he is a member of Islamabad Bar Association.
Ahsanullah Swati’s basic functions are:
- Drafting, reviewing, amending and negotiating commercial and corporate contracts
- Advising international corporate clients on setting up of companies in the United Arab Emirates including the Free Zones
- Coordinating legal procedures at UAE courts
- Advising Clients in the area of UAE-Property Law, UAE-Commercial and Company’s Law
- Advising Clients in rental matters and representation at the Abu Dhabi Rent Committee in dispute resolution, such as arbitration and mediation
- ِAdvising on Shariah/Islamic Laws, Islamic Banking & Finance
