Dr. Clemens Daburon, Austrian national, graduated from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration with a degree in international commerce in 2001 and from Vienna University with a degree in law in 2002. He received a PhD in international law from Vienna University with distinction in 2006.

Dr. Clemens Daburon joined Meyer-Reumann & Partners in January 2008; he took over the position as Head of Meyer-Reumann & Partners Abu Dhabi Office in January 2011.

Background

Prior to joining Meyer-Reumann & Partners, Dr. Clemens Daburon was working for Austrian courts as law clerk (2002) and international tribunals in Tanzania and Sierra Leone as legal consultant (2003-2004). From 2005 to 2007 he was working in a major Austrian business law firm, where he focused his practice on capital markets and M&A. Dr. Clemens Daburon passed the Austrian bar exam with distinction in July 2007.

Dr. Clemens Daburon’s main focus of work is:

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial, corporate and finance contracts
  • Developing corporate structures and regional sales organizations
  • Advising international corporate clients on setting up in the United Arab Emirates including Free Zones
  • Advising clients on multi-jurisdictional corporate restructuring, such as carve outs, mergers and acquisitions
  • Coordinating legal procedures at local courts
  • Advising in arbitration cases
  • Advising clients in regulatory capital markets cases
  • Advising clients as to a market-entry in Iraq; coordination and supervision of Iraq-related cases
