Profile
Hanka Jahn, German national studied business law (Wirtschaftsrecht) at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany and at the International University Concordia Audentes in Tallinn, Estonia. During her studies she focused on Trade & Industry, which includes Distributorship Law, Contract Law, Companies Law etc. as well as Human Resources Management.
In July 2006 she has joined Meyer-Reumann & Partners in Dubai.

Background
Before her studies she made a 2.5 years apprenticeship as a legal assistant/paralegal (Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte) in Bielefeld, Germany where she already gained her first legal experience.
Beside her studies she worked part time in a legal office as well as gained experiences as a intern in various international companies.
Hanka Jahn is also involved in creating and improving Meyer-Reumann & Partners‘ software and programs (Contract Wizard, Legal Databank) in a team with the IT-Department and is in charge for internal support and training for Meyer-Reumann & Partners’ team in Styles, Textblock, Legal Databank and Contracts Wizards.
Hanka Jahn’s basic functions related to Dubai are:
- Advising foreign Clients in setting up companies, Representative Offices, Branches or LLC’s within the Emirate of Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well as in setting up of Free Zone Companies, e.g. Jebel Ali Freezone, Dubai Airport Freezone, Sharjah Airport International Freezone, TECOM;
- Advising Clients on real estate disputes;
- Drafting, reviewing, amending contracts in compliance with the UAE laws and regulations;
- Advising Clients in any kind of rental matters and representation at the Dubai Rent Committee;
- Advising Clients in the area of UAE-Labour Law, UAE-Commercial and Company’s Law.
